The National
Black Leadership Initiative on Cancer III:
Community Networks Program
(NBLIC III) is pleased to announce the availability of funds for
the Community Partners for Cancer Education Program (CPCE). The CPCE
funded project was initially established to support community-driven cancer
control initiatives specific to breast and cervical cancer early
detection. The focus for this announcement will only include prostate and
colorectal cancer early detection and prevention. The goal of this
program is to expand community collaborations and cancer awareness/
education opportunities in minority communities to help eliminate health
disparities. This project is a partnership between the Georgia Department
of Human Resources (DHR), the Georgia Cancer Coalition (GCC) and (NBLIC
III). Please
read carefully the guidelines, located above, before applying for a
(CPCE) funded project.
Eligibility Criteria: Non-profit, community-based organizations and agencies with the federal
501(c) 3 designation that are in the state of Georgia or serve a community
in Georgia and target African Americans are eligible to respond to the
CPCE Request for Applications.
All
forms for applying for a Comnmunity Partners for Cancer Education funded
project are located above. Please contact us if you are
unable to download the forms and need them sent to you by mail, or
if you have further questions about the National Black Leadership
Initiative on Cancer III: Community Networks Program or our funded
projects program.
Please send
an original and five copies of the completed application to the
Southern Regional Office for your targeted population (and not to the
NBLIC III National Office) on or before JULY 22, 2005.
